I’m thinking about dipping my toe into the world of online craft workshops and I wondered if you might be interested?

Xavi and I have been playing around making some Macrame Christmas tree decorations and I realised that you guys might fancy having a go too! To give you a flavour of what my workshops might be like I have created this ‘How to’ video which you can use for FREE to make this cute hanging Christmas Tree. The video will guide you every step of the way and you can watch it as many times as you like, pausing whenever you need to. In my workshops I plan to work in a similar way, guiding you through your make from start to finish.

If you find this Christmas Macrame video tutorial fun, please share what you make – I would love to see let’s use the #TeddyandmeMacrame … you could even make these as keyrings, which would make perfect handmade gifts for friends and family.

Simple and fun to make during Lockdown 2.0 and great for getting into the Christmas spirit, why not pop on some Christmas Songs and have a go!

You will need:

  • 3m approx of yarn, cord or wool – if you are new to Macrame, choose a thicker non-fluffy cord as it will be easier. (After your first one, experiment with different wool/yarn to see what fun effects you can create.)
  • Pins
  • Scissors
  • A piece of cardboard (from an old cardboard box), or a cushion to pin your work out on
